While we were in Amsterdam, we visited De Poezenboot. This is a floating cat shelter on one of the canals. Some of the cats are available for adoption, while others call the boat their permanent home. The boat is open to the public at scheduled times during the week. If you would like to visit, be sure to look up their visiting hours. We also learned while we were there that you can reserve a time to visit. We were able to visit without an appointment, but on a busier day we may not have been as lucky.
