Birds In The Garden
Last week I took another trip to Maymont. During this visit, I happened to stumble upon a heron and some ducks in the Japanese Garden. I hope you enjoy the photos! Seeing wild birds in a park like this is truly special.
Just Another Maymont Monday
A week ago I went to Maymont yet again. I got there in the late morning/early afternoon. I was a good time of day to visit the animals. I got really clear glimpses of two of my favorite residents, Little Bear and Finnley the fox! It was a great day!
Miscellaneous Richmond Shots
Here is another collection of miscellaneous Richmond shots. I hope you like them!

I recently hiked the North Bank and Buttermilk loop trail in Richmond again. This is a great hike that is close to home. I hope you enjoy the photos from this trip out!
Tuckahoe’s Feathered Friends
Last week, I posted some photos from Tuckahoe Creek Park. Today I have more feathered friend pictures from that trip to share. I hope you like them!
Tuckahoe Creek Park
I recently went to Tuckahoe Creek Park in Henrico County. This park is tucked between a neighborhood and a wetland filled with wildlife. Due to it’s proximity to the water, the only walkway is a well maintained boardwalk. It was very popular with the people in the surrounding homes. I will definitely be going back!
The James In February
Last month, I took some photographs of the James River in the mid to later afternoon. I was able to get some great pictures in the afternoon light. I hope you like them!
River Long Exposures
I was able to try long exposure photography again a few weeks ago. This year for Christmas I got a new monopod that I got to use for this. I set my camera up on the monopod, attached a variable neutral density filter to my lenses and used my remote shutter. What that all means:Continue reading “River Long Exposures”
