On Tuesday I went with a group of friends to Sunken Meadow State Park. It was a great last visit before my move. Hopefully I can make it back for another visit someday!

Farewell To The Marine Nature Study Area
Saturday was probably the last time I will be visiting the Nature Study Area since we are moving in less than two weeks. It was actually pretty bittersweet saying goodbye to it. I have spent a lot of time exploring there and I really learned a lot. It wasn’t the prettiest day out, mostly justContinue reading “Farewell To The Marine Nature Study Area”
More Cat Photos
With the move coming up I have been too busy for my usual photo trips. I hope to get back out soon, but in the meantime I still have my cats to practice on. I hope you enjoy this batch of pictures!
The Boys In Black And White
Here are some practice shots I did recently of some black and white cat photography. My two boys are excellent models. I hope you like the shots!
Winter Beach Birding

All Creatures (This Time Small)
I really enjoy photographing any wildlife I can find. This series of photographs highlights the smaller creatures I see when I am out “shooting”:

Squirrel Appreciation Day
Happy squirrel day!
Lido Beach Passive Nature Area
I have been to this preserve twice now and I have really enjoyed both trips. There is an easily walked trail system with several educational signs along the way. The trails go through marshy and more grassy terrain providing great opportunities to see diverse wildlife. Should the need arise, there is also a small trailContinue reading “Lido Beach Passive Nature Area”
New Year’s Day At Jones Beach
Every year since I have moved to Long Island, I have spent New Year’s Day at Jones Beach. It was not really intentional, but it has become a tradition of mine. The park puts on a free seal walk at Field 10 as part of the New York State Park Department’s First Day Hike program.Continue reading “New Year’s Day At Jones Beach”
