Dutch Gap Conservation Area is a park in Chesterfield County, Virginia. It seemed to be quite a popular park. We saw several people hiking, fishing and boating along the river. The trail system is very well marked and it is a very easy grade. The parking lot for the trails is shared by the Henricus Historical Park (we didn’t go to the historical town on this trip).
While we were here, we were lucky enough to see a Bald Eagle chasing an osprey in an attempt to steal it’s food. The osprey was far more agile, and was able to escape with the fish still in it’s grasp. It was so interesting to watch!
