A few months back I posted about the Richmond Slave Trail. Recently, I was able to explore the end of trail that I missed on my first visit.
I started by crossing the Mayo Bridge and then took the paved path on the Manchester Side. I went under the Mayo Bridge, a train track and I-95 (aka Richmond-Peterburg Turnpike). Once I passed under I-95, there was a foot trail off to my left. Like other sections of the trail, there were several informational signs along the way. The foot trail eventually leads to Ancarrow’s Landing.
If you are in the area I highly recommend doing this trail. It has great historical significance and it is preserved in a very tasteful way.
